The Weaver Family

Some families don’t just book a session. They invite you into their story and they keep inviting you back. That is exactly what the Weaver family has done, and every single time I walk through their door, I am reminded of why I fell in love with this work. I have had the honor of photographing both of the Weaver children from their very first hours of life. Their Fresh 48 sessions at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando are tucked into my heart as some of the most sacred sessions I have ever experienced. Since then, I have photographed both children’s first birthdays, milestone moments, and everything in between. Now, years later, here we are again…with two beautiful little ones who have grown right before my eyes! 

When Families Know You, Everything Changes

There is something that happens when children have known their photographer since birth. The nervousness that so many families brace for simply does not exist. Genuine, unguarded moments from the very first frame. This is one of the most profound gifts of having a photographer who grows alongside your family. Over time, I have learned how these children laugh, how they move, what makes them light up. That knowledge does not live in a camera. It lives in relationship and it shows in every single image. Because of that trust, the session flowed naturally for the Weavers. The children were playful and present. The connection between every member of this family was palpable, and my job was simply to stay close and pay attention.

Their Home Was Made for This

The Weaver home is the kind of space that photographers dream about. Clean, luminous, filledwith soft natural light that poured through every window. It felt less like a living room and more like a beautifully appointed studio. All warm whites, gentle textures, and quiet elegance that let their interactions and love for each other take center stage. At the same time, in-home sessions carry a kind of intimacy that no outdoor location or studio backdrop can fully replicate. This is where they read together on lazy Sunday mornings. Where little hands reach up to be held. Where the window becomes a frame within a frame, and a father pointing out something in the world beyond the glass becomes the image you hang above your mantle for the next twenty years. Because of that, The Weaver home gave us all of that and more.

The Dress That Started the Conversation

Mama picked one of my all time favorite Doen dresses (freshly pressed and ready for her from my client wardrobe!) For every full session, my clients have complimentary access to over 100 hand-curated dresses spanning every season of motherhood, every body shape, and every aesthetic. You’ll never have to spend a single anxious hour wondering what to wear. The dress moved beautifully, photographed like a dream, and felt completely authentic to who she is. That ease and confidence translated into every frame we made together.

This session is proof of something I want every family to hear. In-home sessions are not just for newborns. They are for the in-between years. This is For the season when your toddler still fits in your arms but is learning to need them less. It is for the afternoon light that falls across your living room floor in a way that will not last forever. For the ordinary Tuesday that, ten years from now, you will wish you had documented. The Weaver family reminded me, as they always do, that the most meaningful moments are not milestones on a calendar. They are simply life, happening in real time, in the rooms where you live it.
