Beautiful North Carolina Scenery

I am learning that North Carolina is one of the most beautiful places for family photography. From the lush greenery to the amazing mountains, there is no shortage of wonderful backdrops for photo sessions. This session in particular was a short drive from Asheville in Canton, North Carolina. I absolutely adored the natural light with the crisp greens and blues of the pastures. There was also a charming little pond that the family played in as they got some photos taken. I loved the contrast of the green grass with the dark stones in the water.

Joyful, Playful, and Easy

The Lehnes family was such a joy to capture. Their love and joy towards each other was so evident through their photos. You could tell that Billy and Lindsay are amazing parents as they were so playful and engaging with their children! It was wonderful to witness their connection and love for one another. Not only were they a precious family, but they were so easy to capture. They had a laidback attitude that made taking photos so seamless. They just seemed so comfortable in front of the camera. These are my favorite types of sessions — when you can just play with your family and enjoy being together meanwhile I can capture that love and connection beautifully.

Special Family Moments

Towards the end of the session Billy brought out his guitar. I had tears in my eyes as I photographed him sing a song to his wife Lindsay as their two precious girls watched. It was a tremendously special moment and I am honored to have been able to capture it. They are welcoming a new baby to their sweet family soon, and I could not be more overjoyed for this lovely family.
