South Tampa Milestone Photographer

The Morris family’s milestone photography session in South Tampa was a true testament to the saying, “good things come to those who wait.” Originally scheduled for the end of August, we were met with unexpected rainstorms that forced us to reschedule not once, not twice, but four times! As a South Tampa milestone photographer, I am always so thrilled when we can finally make our session after a rain weather delay. Our session finally took place in early October on a cool and pleasant evening.

It was an honor to be recommended by a photographer friend who had moved to another state. The Morris family’s trust in my work was the best compliment I could receive. Prior to the session, mom and I had discussions about outfit choices, but ultimately, she took the reins and came up with a stunning ensemble for the entire family. The choice of clothing plays a crucial role in the outcome of photography sessions, and mom’s selection of light and neutral colors was spot on. These colors not only complemented their skin tones but also created a timeless and elegant look.

One of the highlights of this milestone session was the incorporation of a full family session along with a cake smash to celebrate the little one’s first birthday. It’s a common question whether the whole family should be involved in milestone sessions, and the answer is always a resounding yes! Capturing the love and connection between family members adds depth and meaning to milestone portraits.

Meeting and photographing the Morris family was an absolute joy. Their beauty and sweetness radiated through every image, and it was a privilege to document their baby’s first year. I genuinely hope to have the opportunity to work with them again in the near future.

This milestone session reminded me of the importance of patience and perseverance. Despite the multiple reschedules, we were rewarded with a perfect evening and beautiful memories!
