Tampa Newborn Lifestyle Photos

Baby Girl Finally Here

I love every opportunity I get to take Tampa newborn lifestyle photos. This session was especially sweet since I was able to take the Mendenhall’s maternity photos as well. Kenneth and Shannon are a joy to be around and their new baby girl, Lucille, is as precious as they come! Lucille was born in mid May and this session took place in June. Their sweet baby was around 6 weeks old. A lot of times I think people feel the necessity of taking newborn photos right away, but it can also be a good idea to wait as you are feeling better about yourself and more comfortable around your baby!

Doing sessions at home is always so lovely because the images truly reflect what your everyday life is like with your precious little one. For this session, we took photos indoors in Lucille’s nursery and also went outdoors to incorporate the green space in their backyard. I love how in just one session you can get two very different looks by changing locations.

Sweet Relationships

One of my favorite things about my job are the sweet relationships that I get to form along the way. It brings me great joy to get the opportunity to walk alongside you in your most important life moments. I love seeing the way your love with your partner and family develop as you move from maternity to parenthood.

Meeting the Mendenhall’s back in may for their maternity session was so special since Shannon and I got to bond over Speech-Language Pathology. Shannon herself is a Speech-Language Pathologist, and that is what I did before pursuing photography full time for 20 years. It always means so much to me when I get to connect with people on a deeper level.

Shannon and her husband Kenneth are also both film photographers! It was so fun to be with them and talk about our shared passion for photography. These moments of connection are what keep me excited and entranced with stepping into your home and capturing your moments.
